Effective date: 7 December 2025

Welcome to CodeSpect. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

01

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these terms on behalf of that organization.

02

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting the updated version on our website. Your continued use of the service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.

03

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our service. By using the service, you represent that you meet this eligibility requirement.

04

User Accounts

To access certain features you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

05

Use of the Service

You agree to use the service for lawful purposes only.

You agree not to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or connected servers and networks.
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service.
06

Data Handling and Repository Usage

  • No code modification — our application will not alter, edit, or push changes to your repositories.
  • Storage of pull request diffs — we store the diff from pull requests for analytical purposes. Generated reviews and comments are also stored. Full source files are not stored on our servers.
  • AI processing and data transmission — our current AI model is provided by OpenAI. By using our service, you also agree to OpenAI's Terms of Use. We send pull request diffs to our AI provider. During analysis, the AI may also request full file contents from your repositories via the GitHub API to provide context-aware suggestions. These file contents are processed in-memory for the purpose of generating the review and are not stored in our database.
07

GitHub Account Authorization

By connecting your GitHub account, you represent and warrant that you have full authorization and legal rights to connect and use the associated repositories. You are responsible for ensuring your usage complies with any agreements related to your GitHub account and repositories.

08

All content, design, logos, and software associated with the service are the intellectual property of CodeSpect or its licensors. You agree not to reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the service without prior written permission.

09

Access to some features may require payment. You agree to pay all applicable fees as specified when you sign up for a paid service. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

10

Free Tier for Open Source Projects

CodeSpect offers a free tier for open source projects. If you have a public GitHub repository, you can use CodeSpect without limits. However:

  • If we detect that your repository visibility changes from public to private, we reserve the right to disable all paid features immediately without prior notice.
  • During periods of high traffic, we may lower your pull request review rate to ensure service stability.
11

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
